BOGO for National Mojito Day

July 11 is National Mojito Day (yes, it’s real), and I honestly could not think of a better way to celebrate than with BOGO Mojitos at Felipe’s.

Always fresh and made to order, Felipe’s hand-squeezed mojito keeps the minty characteristics of its Cuban cousins. Our skilled bartenders tear mint leaves into a glass, add in sugar and lime juice, and muddle the ingredients by hand. Served up in our hand blown collins glasses with a fresh mint garnish, and you have one of Cuba’s perfect contributions to the world of cocktails. These mojitos are a sight you just can’t ignore.

Nothing says summer quite like a fresh Felipe’s mojito, which is perfect, since you know… it’s summer. So, swing by your local Felipe’s to beat the heat and celebrate National Mojito Day like a pro. Let’s get this BOGO!!

Thank You for Voting Us the Best

The Felipe’s Family would like to give a huge thanks to the great city of New Orleans and Where Y’at Magazine for voting Felipe’s as the “Best Taco & Burrito” in their Reader’s Choice “Best of the Big Easy” competition. With a record number of votes submitted, we are honored to be the Reader’s Choice within such an established group of worthy options.

In addition to being voted #1 in the “Best Taco & Burrito” category, Felipe’s earned recognition in other categories, such as “One of the Best Budget Eats”, “One of the Best Margaritas”, and “One of the Best Fast Casual Restaurants”.

“Felipe’s Taqueria has shown that it remains relevant and even more popular after being in New Orleans for almost 15 years. To receive so many votes in so many different categories is a testament to the hard work and dedication that the Felipe’s team puts into every meal. I personally go there at least twice a month,” said Josh Danzing, publisher and founder of Where Y’at Magazine.

We are truly thrilled by the responses and will always continue proving our dedication to you by offering fresh and authentic Mexican cuisine through the Felipe’s experience.

To show our appreciation, we would like to offer 10% off all online orders, using code VOTE. Swing by your neighborhood location to see what all the fuss is about and get your hands on the best tacos and burritos in New Orleans.

Beat The Heat with Watermelon Margaritas

Summer is officially here, and right on schedule, so is the heat. This makes now the perfect time for Felipe’s to bring back our refreshing Watermelon Margarita.

A phenomenal take on a Felipe’s classic, served on the rocks or frozen, our Watermelon Margarita is made with blue agave tequila, fresh-squeezed juices, and blended with a house-made watermelon puree. Served with a salted rim and garnished with a slice of watermelon, this heat-beating cocktail is too refreshing for you to pass up.

Swing by your neighborhood Felipe’s to cool off and experience our Watermelon Margarita, available for a limited time only.

Minutes to Order… Hours to Prepare

Here at Felipe’s we take great pride in the freshness of our food. If you’ve eaten Felipe’s before, you guys know exactly what I’m talking about. However, for the uninitiated, allow me to explain…

Our philosophy is simple: ingredients should always be fresh and the recipes authentic.

We cook everything from scratch continuously throughout the day to ensure maximum freshness. In addition to this, everything we make – from the al pastor to the traditional guacamole to the various complimentary salsas – is prepared in small batches, guaranteeing that it is served at its peak flavor. It all starts with fresh ingredients being delivered every morning at 6 o’clock, and our team showing up soon after to begin the daily preparations.

Now, you may be asking yourself if all of this is really necessary, and to answer your question – yes, we believe it is. Cooking from scratch throughout the day isn’t easy, but to always be in the process of preparing new, fresh batches of food to be served to you in minutes is worth it.

Providing you’re still not convinced that Felipe’s is fresher than the Fresh Prince, or you’re just a visual learner, here’s a short video.
